DEAR GOD, DELIVER US FROM THE PITS OF HELL!

The church is crying out to God to deliver us from our misery. Deliver us from our tragedy. Deliver us from the pits of Hell in which we have fallen! But we don’t seem to get delivered. It feels as if hope is lost.

Yet we are told over and over throughout the Bible exactly what God expects and what He is waiting for! Why we are saying, “God take this away from me!” “Heal me of this, please!” “I need your help with this and that!” It seems our relationship with God is all about what He can do for us, and less what we can do as a church to better serve Him. While we are pleading with God, God is pleading with us, but we are not hearing Him and we are not obeying His plea.
